For a world of captivating untouched nature, the oldest protected rainforest in the Southern Hemisphere and the birthplace of the steel pan drums, look no further than the vibrant Tobago. Packed with a whirlwind of out-of-this-world experiences and fantastic Roti, this island nation offers a myriad of things do do. We’ve pulled together some of our favourites below.

Take a Paddle Board Out for a Night-Time Spin

Whilst you are on the island it would be a crime not to experience this rare occurrence. Not only do you get to experience the thrill of stand up paddle boarding, at night, the seas come alive with magical bio-luminescent plankton, making for a truly impressive sight and an unforgettable view.

Go Scuba Diving in one of the Spectacular Reefs

From peach-coloured fire coral to a number of other colourful varieties, the life-filled waters of Tobago’s Buccoo Reef are a haven for diving enthusiasts. Further to the south of the reef lies a swimming pool formed from corallaine sandbar jutting right out into the ocean, perfect for those wanting to take a dip without donning extra equipment and rumoured to have been named by Princess Margaret during her 1950’s visit. Alternatively, head out on one of the organised glass-bottomed boat tours to see these marvels for yourself without getting your feet wet.

Witness the Famous Pigeon Point

Proclaimed to the be the island’s best beach, Pigeon Point is certainly Tobago’s most photographed attraction. With kite-surfing and wind-surfing galore it is the perfect place for water sports enthusiasts whilst an abundance of food outlets supplies the perfect accompaniment to the meeting of the Atlantic Ocean and balmy Caribbean Sea.
