Diane took a trip to Barbados to take a closer look at the new Sandals Barbados to get the latest scoop. Oozing with Bajan charm and the top-level Sandals charisma, she can’t wait for her return visit.
Top-level Service
The brand new Sandals Barbados is the talk of the Sandals town so I was very excited to be heading out to see it in its full glory. Being the only Sandals resort in Barbados, it’s an exciting time for holiday makers all over.
I was determined to soak up as much of the Bajan charm as I could. I had the absolute pleasure of staying in Sandals Barbados’ Ocean Village Beachfront Club Level Suite with Balcony and Tranquillity Soaking Tub. Wow. The room was luxurious, spacious and the ocean stretched out in front of me. The tranquillity soaking tub was my own private relaxing hot spot where I could soak in bubbles with a glass of the good stuff in my hand.
The resort oozed with Caribbean flare. Right from the initial warm welcome from the Sandals Barbados resort staff, the service was attentive, friendly and I felt completely at home thereon in. What I love about Sandals Barbados is the laid back atmosphere which you can’t help soaking up and feeling yourself. This relaxed manner doesn’t impinge on the service which is attentive and professional. Instead, they compliment each other impeccably. The Sandals Barbados staff are some of the friendliest that I have come across in the Caribbean.
Dining Experiences
Sandals Barbados has a unique flavour in the form of an Indian Restaurant. Indian flavours meet Bajan charisma in a superb combination. We had a buffet style selection of Indian cuisine delivered to our table so we could have a cheeky taste of all the dishes. My favourite? It would have to be the Lobster curry. Yum.
My second favourite dining had to be Portofino’s. An extra special meal where I had steak and it awesome. Everything down to its presentation on the plate. Yes, I was the holidaymaker taking photos of every mouthwatering dish.
Not content with stuffing my belly to full capacity in the restaurant, the chocolate buffet in the main courtyard certainly had my attention. Anyone would think I had won the lottery how quickly I moved. It was delicious.
The Resort Hub
The main courtyard at Sandals Barbados is the hub of the hotel in the evenings. It really is the place to sit back, relax and soak up the atmosphere. There’s evening entertainment with live bands and dancers so you can join in or watch at your leisure. The English themed Pub, The Merry Monkey is also just on hand so you can pop in for a new tipple to your hearts content.
I thoroughly enjoyed my getaway to Sandals Barbados. I really can’t wait to take my hubby for a return visit so I can soak up more of the Bajan charm. Oh, and the cocktails.
