My first escape to Mexico was certainly one to remember. El Dorado Royale, A Spa Resort is a gorgeous, grand hotel with a blend of modern and classic Caribbean style, perfect for guests looking for the best of both worlds. I had the luxury of staying in a Premium Jacuzzi Junior Suite, which was extremely spacious with huge comfortable beds, a sofa, giant walk-in shower and a double Jacuzzi. Top Tips
• Looking for a quiet retreat? Head to the Health Bar Pool during the day. The pool concierge will pamper to your every need, from water and cocktails to ice creams.
• Make your way down to Jade at Generations for mouthwatering Fusion cuisine. I recommend the Fried Cheese starter and Mongolian Beef main. I’m salivating thinking about it.
• Take a leisurely ride around the resort on one of their bikes. You can hire them for up to an hour or join one of the daily bike ride activities.
• Eyes bigger than your belly? Hop on a shuttle to get you from A to B. They run every 20 minutes throughout the resort.
• Visit the greenhouse and get to see where most of your fruit and veggies come from for each meal!
• For a more lively day with lots of activities, music and goings on head to the La Isla pool.
• Head to Cocotal for a delicious serve yourself breakfast. The omelette station is a must.
