The Excellence Group have begun the construction of their newest and most ambitious project to date: Finest Playa Mujeres.
We have this week visited the Playa Mujeres community to review the plans for the new Finest Hotel and understand the impact the new project will have on the area, including the neighbouring resort Excellence Playa Mujeres. We will continue to update our clients on new information relating to Excellence Playa Mujeres and Finest Playa Mujeres as we receive it, or whenever we make further inspections. We will be sending a communication to all clients with upcoming stays at Excellence Playa Mujeres, and should anyone require further information we will be happy to discuss their individual bookings and specific needs.
We have also received many requests from clients to ask if Buildings 9 and 9A will be closed as these are the closest to the new project. We can advise after meeting with the Excellence Group that this is not currently being considered essential. However if guests have any special requests on suite locations we will be delighted to communicate their individual needs to the property.

Please be informed that there is a brand new resort, Finest Playa Mujeres, being built within the Playa Mujeres community, in the vicinity of Excellence Playa Mujeres resort. The new development will be operated and managed by the Excellence Group, although the construction and its implications do not lie under our control. Therefore we are taking all available measures at our reach to minimize the potential impact onto our guests’ experiences and will handle cases individually to ensure that special needs or concerns are met as necessary. So far we have been successful in maintaining a very high satisfaction among our guests despite the developing project nearby.
