07/01/2016Katie Brooks

The School of Hard Rock Tour jetted off to the Dominican Republic to soak up the final hotel on their adventure: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana. They may have reached the final stop on their road to discover all things Hard Rock, but the rock star experiences are never-ending as they continue to be wooed by what’s on offer. Here are their thoughts from their escapades at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana.

The Inside Scoop

Rock Star Impressions

Our senses were greeted by the modern, stylish vibe that is Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana through and through. Everything is crisp and clean which gives the resort that added edge. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana itself is spacious so you’re never short of hideout places to chill and soak up the Caribbean sun. The spacious feel of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is reflected in the resort rooms where you have plenty of space to rock out. It also extends down as far as the beach where the 750m stretch of sand carries on for as far as the eye can see.

An added quirk at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is the interactive map in the main lobby that is home to a host of useful information from restaurant menus, restaurant waiting times, buggy pick up spots, the spa price list… the list goes on. There’s no chance of getting lost around Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, so fear not, Holidaymakers. There are plenty of maps dotted about the resort and buggies zipping around regularly too so you can hop on for a ride to your next stop. This is particularly good when wearing heels!

Rock Star Adventures

There’s plenty to keep you entertained at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana and you can use your resort credit to take advantage of the many of the excursions that are on offer too. From the adrenaline pumping trip to Stingray City where you swim with stingrays and sharks (yes, sharks!), to leisurely horseback riding along the beach, to learning about the local culture of the Dominican Republic with a history tour of the local area. They’ve got everything covered to keep all types of Holidaymaker fully entertained.

Moon Rockers Tour

We grabbed the chance to take a tour of the Dominican Republic on the Moon Rockers Tour. The tour sees you on-board buggies where you don a helmet and set off on a somewhat bumpy adventure to soak up the sights. The tour took us off road through the jungle until we reached a secluded beach. Mid way through the adventure, we tasted fresh coconut to refresh our senses before we set off to discover more. We were buzzing.

Rocking Out the Fenders

Our top tip for your time at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana would be to hire one of their Fender guitars to take back to your room to rock out. This is an experience of its own. The Fenders guitars are delivered right to your door and collected again later on, complete with full instructions for the less experienced guitar player. We had an epic time taking the lead role in our own Blue Bay band. Bayley joined in too as we rocked out and put our musical skills to the test. Don’t worry, they come with a pair of headphones too!

Hard Rock Golf

A trip to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana wouldn’t be complete without a peek at the golf course. Getting to the golf course couldn’t be easier with a buggy straight from the hotel. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana hosts an 18 hole course which is PGA standard. It’s great for the experienced golfing Holidaymakers and those just giving it a go. The grass is given special TLC thus it stays lush and green so Holidaymakers always experience a top quality surface for their round.

Golfers are given a golf cart for their game which are all fitted with their own GPS. A big win for checking the distance between holes for a little intel into how hard to whack your ball across the course. What’s more, the carts also play music which is great for those golfers who find a few beats help to keep their cool.

Getting Out and About

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is in a great spot for Holidaymakers who want to get out and about. Punta Cana is just 25 minutes away from the resort and Holidaymakers from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana can jump into a taxi for a fixed rate. So, if the likes of Coco Bonogs and downtown Punta Cana are calling, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana has got it covered.

And thus, the School of Hard Rock journey ends, Holidaymakers. But fear not, the fun continues out in the Caribbean. If you fancy bagging yourself a rock star experience at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, have a little strum of this funky orange button.
