While we’re talking keeping things simple, here’s a quick break down of the Dominican Republic entry requirements:
Vaccinated travellers
- Present vaccination card with proof of jabs administered more than three weeks before arrival in Dom Rep
- Complete the free entry and exit form before travel
- No need to take a pre-departure test to return home
- Test on or before day 2 of returning to UK
- Enjoy your time in the sun
Non-Vaccinated Travellers
- Present a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival
- Complete the free entry and exit form before travel
- Have your temperature tested on arrival in Dom Rep
- Take a pre-departure test no more than 72 hours before arrival
- Test on or before day 2 of returning to the UK
- Test again on or after day 8 of returning to the UK
Travelling with Children
- Passengers under the age of seven are exempt from needing to provide a negative COVID test to enter the Dominican Republic.

With the UK’s decision to scrap pre-departure testing coming in recently, getting away this year has become much simpler.
If you’re fully vaccinated the only time you would need to test is on, or before, day 2 of getting home. So, you actually don’t need to provide a negative result until you’re chilling back home trying to escape the post-hol blues.
