Natural beauty is abundant in the Caribbean, but Saint Lucia holds the mantle as the region's most stunning destination. Deep rainforest, rolling greenery, coral-white sands and charismatic villages set Saint Lucia apart, folding a huge degree of diversity into manageable proportions. Exoticism is a staple of any Lucian holiday, mingling colourful flowers and calm waters with some of the Caribbean's finest resorts.

Culture
Many different peoples have settled in Saint Lucia, accompanied by a varied collection of beliefs and traditions. The result is a cultural amalgamation of unprecedented diversity. It's possible to drive on the British side of the road to an Indian restaurant in a French town where patrons talk in Creole patios.
Cuisine
Saint Lucia's rich cultural heritage is epitomised in its cuisine. Fertile volcanic soil yields an abundance of fresh produce, including several types of bananas, mangos, papayas, pineapples, passion fruits, guavas and coconuts. Local chefs combine this incredible bounty with a wide variety of fresh seafood to create tantalising curries, creole-style delicacies and pepper pot stews.
Things to do
Join a Jeep safari and head through Saint Lucia's lush green countryside for the tour of a lifetime, or take to horseback for a rustic experience, or simply walk among the rainforests, mountains and plantations. Fly through the air on a series of zip lines up to 50 feet above the ground, or tackle the Pitons with the help of a local guide.
Climate
Saint Lucia lies in the path of the northeast trade winds, adding refreshing breezes year-round. July and August are the hottest months, but even December and January can be wonderfully mild. Occasional rainfall occurs June - November, but most commonly in short, sharp showers.
Yachting and Sailing
Saint Lucia's deep blue waters appeal to sailors of all abilities, beckoning all to sail in awe of the island's luscious rolling hills, magnificent Pitons and rich sandy beaches. Explore secret coves and bays and take in the majesty of Saint Lucia's fabulous coastlines.
