Rock Cottage Villa

• Blue Waters’ own Rock Cottage has been voted the “Best Waterfront Villa In The World” by Harper’s and QueenMagazine (UK) and it is easy to see why! For those wishing to escape from it all and enjoy an incredibly private, secluded retreat, this is the Caribbean cottage villa for you, complete with the services of a dedicated housekeeper.
• Situated on a rocky outcrop jutting into Soldiers Bay and surrounded on three sides by the Caribbean Sea, Rock Cottage is truly unique to the Caribbean.
• With five bedrooms, a separate living area, kitchen, and a plunge pool that overlooks the secluded beach nearby, it is without a doubt one of the most private and secluded tropical island escapes in Antigua.
• Rock Cottage features two master bedrooms with luxury bathrooms and two double showers, vanity basin, and bidet; two additional bedrooms with en suite bathroom; and a small bedroom with queen-sized bed and en-suite shower room suitable for children, young adults, or accompanying staff.
• Private dining, picnic or barbecue lunches are available for guests to enjoy whilst sunning on the beach, jetty or sun deck.
• Other facilities include a barbecue for outside cooking, a fully-equipped kitchen, satellite TV and DVD player with films, night watchman on site, jacuzzi and plunge pool, plus numerous sundecks and dining areas.
• Rock Cottage is the perfect choice for a family reunion, couples retreat or high profile guests. Maximum occupancy is for nine adults and three children.

Dining

Guests of Blue Waters and the Cove Suites have the distinct option of dining in three of Antigua's finest restaurants - Palm Restaurant, Bartleys Restaurant and The Cove Restaurant. In keeping with their fine dining ambiance, guests are asked to dress in smart casual attire in the evening.

Please note that shorts, caps and trainers are not permitted for evening dining at Blue Waters.

The Palm Restaurant

• Designed to take advantage of the lavishly landscaped gardens and palm tree framed views of the Caribbean Sea, the superbly positioned Palm Restaurant grants its guests a decidedly Caribbean alfresco dining experience.
• While the daytime atmosphere is that of a relaxed Caribbean cafe, they kindly ask that guests wear bathing suit covers, wraps, or shorts and footwear at all times. The terrace adjacent to the main restaurant is ideally suited for holiday makers who prefer a more casual setting or who choose to dine in their swimwear.
• The Palm and Palm Terrace open daily for:

The Pelican Bar

• Named for the majestic birds that frequent the Blue Waters bay, the Pelican Bar is a characteristically Caribbean bar - bright and airy with arched doorways that open onto blue waters and lush green gardens. Adjacent to the tea terrace and lobby, and just steps away from the Palm Restaurant, the Pelican Bar is a perfectly positioned venue for relaxing with a good book during the day, sipping on an early evening Antigua Kiss cocktail or dancing under the stars to the beats of a steel band.

Bartleys Restaurant

• Bartleys Restaurant is one of the only restaurants in Antigua that offers comfortable, air-conditioned dining in an intimate setting. Situated within the main hotel complex, the elegantly appointed Bartleys Restaurant offers the perfect opportunity for guests to share a romantic dinner, celebrate a special occassion or simply enjoy an evening of delectable entrees, fine wines, and great company.
• Open nightly from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM (last orders).

The Cove Restaurant

• The Cove Restaurant at Blue Waters takes Caribbean dining with an Asian twist to an entirely new level. Uniquely situated on a cliff top, The Cove offers fine dining a la carte accompanied by a warm Caribbean sea breeze and sounds of the sea below.

Room Service

• Guests may also choose to dine in the comfort and privacy of their own room. Room service is available from 7am till 10:30pm daily.
• Antigua also offers a wide selection of restaurants and cuisine from French and Italian to traditional Caribbean and superb seafood. Be sure to ask our staff for recommendations if you want to venture outside of the resort.

Facilities

• Their goal is to provide everything a guest needs so you don't have to leave — unless you really want to! Blue Waters offers a wide range of services and amenities designed to create the perfect holiday sanctuary.
• Their Beauty Salon, for example, offers a variety of relaxing treatments for both women and men, including massages, facials, wraps, manicures, pedicures, and more.
• There is also a fitness center for those wishing to stay fit whilst there. Personal fitness instruction is available upon request for an additional charge. For daily diversions, guests may enjoy the games room with pool, table tennis and table football, as well as a variety of other activities including early morning walks, sailing lessons, cooking classes, and nightly entertainment. There are also supervised children's activities available two hours each day from Monday to Friday.
• Additionally, their on-site water sports center provides instruction for those who want to perfect their skill or learn how to windsurf, sail, or snorkel. They are also happy to assist in arranging golf, sailboat excursions, deep-sea fishing, horseback riding, parasailing, kite surfing, helicopter tours, or visits to casinos and restaurants.
• No matter what you may need, the staff at the Blue Waters will assist with easy access to rental cars, taxis, and babysitting services.

Leisure

Blue Waters is the perfect place to relax pool or beachside and do nothing at all... their resort is so well situated amongst 17 perfectly landscaped acres that there is always plenty of space to find your own special place in the sun.

Or take advantage of lazy days and learn to sail, windsurf, kayak, or snorkel with Owen and their water sports team. They can also make arrangements for you to water ski or go deep-sea fishing nearby.

Other on-site activities include an all-weather tennis court, air-conditioned fitness room, a beauty salon with spa treatment rooms, and a games room. For those who want to venture off-site, they can arrange golf, sailboat excursions, horseback riding, parasailing, helicopter tours, and visits to area restaurants or casinos. They also offer live entertainment five times per week, including a steel band during Sunday brunch, piano instrumental at the Monday night Manager's Cocktail Party, and Latin Night with Ricardo Anthony.

Antigua offers test cricket matches, duty free shopping, and scenic drives, as well as historic venues such as Nelson's Dockyard and Shirley Heights. Whichever activity may strike your fancy, rest assured that the staff and management will see to it that everything is arranged for you.

Hotel Activities

• For those who seek more than a lounge chair in the sun, there is always something going on at Blue Waters hotel in Antigua. Daily activities will vary by day but often include an early morning stretch or exercise class, a hotel briefing for new arrivals, taxi shuttles into town for duty-free shopping, snorkeling instruction, island tours, children's activities (two hours each day), beach cricket, cooking demonstrations, and so much more!
• If pampering is your idea of the ultimate in relaxation, our Beauty Salon offers several spa services and treatments including massages, facials, and wraps for both men and women. Discover all the ways you can escape, relax, and rejuvenate at this luxurious island hideaway.
• Blue Waters also offers a weekly Cocktail Party where guests are invited to meet the management team, a Caribbean BBQ Buffet, International Buffet, and musical entertainment on a nightly basis.
• The on-site fitness room has been newly refurbished and is perfectly suited for guests wishing to maintain their exercise schedules. The tennis court is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and private instruction can be arranged. Guests may also wish to visit their watersports department for snorkeling, windsurfing, or kayaking. Hobie Cats are also available.
• We can also make arrangements for you to take a helicopter ride, go waterskiing, golfing, sailing, deep-sea fishing, horseback riding, parasailing, and much more. No matter what you would like to do, simply ask!

Island Activities

• Often referred to as the heart of the Caribbean, the twin-island nation of Antigua and Barbuda has much to offer... from the miles of uninterrupted pink sand beaches in Barbuda to the popular Fig Tree Drive and Rainforest Canopy Tour in Antigua.
• In addition to land excursions, catamarans, and local tours, you may also enjoy a few of the sites and activities listed below.
• The Capital City of St. John's - Duty-free shopping in St. John's is at its best in Heritage and Redcliff Quays. Visit Quin Farara for wines, spirits, and cigarettes; Abbott's Jewellers and Diamonds International for excellent deals; and Lipstick for duty-free perfumes. In this same area you will come across the local vendors mall where you will find a variety of local souvenirs (and some not-so-local ones too!).
• The local market at the south end of town at the junction of Valley and All Saints Roads is a riot of colourful fruits, vegetables, and spices, and people from all walks of life haggling for them. We recommend the delicious Antigua black pineapple - considered by some to be one of the world's best.
• The Museum of Antigua & Barbuda is housed in the old Court House at the corner of Long and Market Streets. Built in 1750, it is the oldest building in Antigua. Exhibits explore Antigua's geological origins and political history, the culture of the Arawaks (with a life-sized house), and a model sugar plantation. The museum is also a good source of information on other historic sites dotting the island.
• English Harbour & Nelson's Dockyard - Antigua was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493 and was a British Colony up until its independence in 1981. As a result, it has an incredible history. English Harbour is one “must see” destination as it was Lord Horatio Nelson's home for quite some time.
• Antigua Sailing Week - Taking place from late April to early May, Antigua Sailing Week consists of intense yacht racing, music concerts and rum parties. Sailors, spectators and partygoers from around the world visit Antigua to enjoy the racing atmosphere both on and off shore.
• Diving - Antigua and nearby Barbuda are great diving spots as there is little to no current and the water temperatures average 80°F. Coral reefs, walls, and shipwrecks can be found in several areas surrounding the coasts. For those who like wreck diving in particular, the Andes merchant ship in Deep Bay is a must.
• Cricket at the Sticky Wicket, Antigua Recreation Grounds or Sir Viv Richards Stadium - World-class cricket players and an electric atmosphere are just two of the reasons why a trip to one of Antigua's cricket grounds is a must. Antigua is home to the legendary Sir Viv Richards, former West Indian cricket captain, as well as Andy Roberts, Richie Richardson, and Curtly Ambrose.

Evening Entertainment

• Blue Waters is known for its ability to ease guests into the relaxed pace of island life. Though entertainment is available nightly, most guests prefer sunset cocktails on their patio or balcony, an early dinner followed by after dinner drinks in the Pelican Bar, or escaping to the room with a bottle of wine and watching the stars dance against the backdrop of a clear Caribbean night.
• If a little more action is what you're after, Blue Waters enjoys the best luxury hotel location on island for convenient access to popular restaurants, bars, and casinos. Taxis may be arranged through the front desk and average about $12 USD dollars each way.
